We love our pets. Our bonds are strong.

It gives me such an unexplainable feeling knowing there is a love this strong inside people. That people can and will do this, it humbles me.

It gives me hope.

If you didn't realize this already, I do NOT want McCain as my next president, and I sure as hell do NOT want Palin as my next Vice President and next in line to run this country. (ewww, it just gives me the creeps to think of it)

Here are some clips that are funny, yet are so validating for me as to why I won't vote republican, why I don't watch FOX news and why I will not vote for McCain/Palin in 2008.

I typically don't follow the storms on the gulf too closely. Ike hasn't really been an exception to that until recently.

Now it is likely going to hit Galveston/Houston area in a big way. That typically, again, wouldn't grab my attention too terribly strong in most cases except that in this particular case, we have friends there. Well, not right now. They've evacuated.

They are on my mind quite strong today.

I will be watching this particular storm and praying and hoping that these friends of ours don't lose everything. That they stay safe and find peace being with each other through this scary ride that hurricane Ike is creating for them.

They are tornado alley kids. Hurricanes are new to them. I can't imagine moving there and within 3 months going through this mess.
