nalgene bottles and.... your baby's doom????

What? Seriously?

I had heard a long time ago that toxins can been released from these nalgene bottles if you wash them in too hot of water, which is why you shouldn't put it in the washing machine (which I do anyway, bad Bri!) or microwave them. But this new study is interesting to hear, too.
I was listening to NPR today and they were interviewing somebody about this study, possibly somebody related to the study but I don't know for sure, and he basically said - in not so many words - DON'T FREAK OUT. Its not that big of deal for us adults.
Anyway, that SIGG bottle is looking more and more appealing. :)

I love you, sunflower bike shop water bottle that kills bunnies and babies.
I. LOVE. YOU.

why I love it here

There are many things about this valley that make me remember I am so lucky to be here.
That I am such a small speck in this world.
I am grateful for all of that.

I am greatful that....

I am almost always guaranteed wildlife viewing (ones with fur, specifically) will happen within feet of me every time I drive up the mountain to school(yes, school is on top of a mountain).
Lately, almost everytime I drive out of town, I see herds of deer and elk nearby.
I always get to see beautiful Mt. Sopris everyday (unless its snowing heavily on its 14,000 foot peak).
We have a raging creek outside our door that is bursting with water due to snow melting on the mountains. The sound is so calming, and Bailey can swim in it and sniff for treasures.

nalgene bottles and a rabbit's doom

Seriously?
Does every company have to dabble in multiple aspects of consumerism? *sigh* I suppose we just wouldn't be in America if they didn't.
I realize the drugs I take that improve the quality of my life were probably tested on animals before they were tested on people.
I get it.
But does my favorite water bottle that I purchased from my favorite outdoor sports store in Lawrence have to be connected to animal testing, too???

I guess I could try a Sigg bottle next time.

Woo-hoo!!!

Oh, I am ONE LUCKY GIRL!!!!

The camera has been found!!!! Whew!

I had good vibes about this the whole time, but didn't want to say it outloud. I figured I may have to do some research and leg work, but I had a feeling that in the end, I would find my camera! Well, only a little leg work was done and a sign made, by the time Ladd found my camera...... in his car! Doh! :)

I also found out I lost my credit card, but Ladd went to one of the bars and found it there.

Ahhhhh. So good. So good.

Now I must drink to this wonderful news! But not enough to lose anything ! :)

apathy.

I have been experiencing this emotion.
Especially regarding my blog, lately.
That is why there have not been new posts this past month. Its not that nothing has been happening, because in fact there have been significant events. I just haven't felt like blogging. And since this is a "just for fun" blog, (insert eric cartman voice) I'll do what i want!!! :) But now that I lost my camera, I can't post about some of the things I planned to eventually write about - at least not with the pictures and that's half the fun! Hopefully the camera will show up and I can share what's been going on (after school is over, though. Finals are in 3 weeks!!!)

damn. it. again.

I am without a camera. Again.

This time I dropped it and lost it. I dropped it somewhere in carbondale between bars this past friday night. Please send positive vibes this way in hopes that one of my friends found it at the bar after I left and grabbed it for me, or that a good samaritan picked it up and took it to a business nearby (I plan to call every store between the two bars to see if anybody turned it in).

The camera is replaceable. However, the 50-some pictures on it are not.

Grrrrr.
